There are seasons in life when our connection with God feels strong and alive. Prayer flows easily, scripture feels rich, and we sense His presence throughout the day.
Then there are other seasons where life becomes full. Responsibilities grow, schedules get tight, and before we realize it, the quiet place with God becomes quiet in a different way.
When Abraham encountered God, he built altars. Those altars were not just spiritual symbols, they were reminders. Every altar marked a moment where Abraham stopped and honored the presence of God.
Sometimes the challenge in our spiritual lives is not that God has moved. It is that the altar in our lives has slowly been neglected.
The beautiful thing about God is that the altar can always be rebuilt. The moment we turn our attention back toward Him, He meets us there.
Has your time with God become rushed or distant lately?
Lord, help me rebuild the altar of devotion in my life. Restore my hunger for Your presence.
